Wendy Knight
Wendy Knight is a seasoned public relations executive and Founder of Knight and Day Communications who leverages her journalism expertise to achieve maximum media exposure for clients. She has successfully placed clients in articles appearing in The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Portfolio, CNN.com, Crain’s New York Business, Vogue, The New York Times Magazine, Maxim and Food and Wine among other publications, and on television shows including the TODAY Show, Fox News, FOX Business Network, CBS Early Show and MSNBC.
A former freelance reporter for the New York Times, Wendy has written about travel, real estate, hotels, adventure sports, food and style. In addition to writing for print publications like Outside, Town and Country and Departures, she has produced and hosted travel videos for ABC News Now and ForbesTraveler.com. She has authored/edited four non-fiction books, and has won numerous awards for her writing including the prestigious Lowell Thomas Award awarded by the Society of American Travel Writers Foundation for her anthology, Making Connections: Mother Daughter Travel Adventures.
A graduate of Cornell University, Wendy chaired the Caribbean panel for Restaurant Magazine’s World’s 50 Best Restaurant list and served on the fundraising committee for GOAL, a Dublin-based relief agency whose work in Sudan she witnessed in 2003.
Gina Kamburowski
Gina Kamburowski began her career in journalism, working as a reporter for National Journal’s Technology Daily in Washington, D.C. where she wrote a popular weekly column covering high-tech movers and shakers on Capitol Hill before moving to New York to pursue a career in public relations. With 10 years experience in public relations and media, Gina has developed long-term relationships with premiere media outlets.
She has worked with tastemakers and leaders in the culinary, lifestyle, nightlife and architecture industries including the acclaimed chef, Terrance Brennan of Picholine and Artisanal; award-winning architect and interior designer, Antonio di Oronzo; The Chambers Hotel; and other clients that reflect her personal and professional passions. Gina believes in a fun, collaborative and personalized approach to achieve client’s goals, and exceed expectations.
A native of Connecticut, Gina earned her bachelors degree in journalism from Boston University where she also studied Literature and Photography. She shoots food and interior photography, which has been featured in several publications including The New York Times, Interior Design, and Newsday.
Alexandra Haesler
Alexandra Haesler is our fabulous PR intern and social media coordinator who keeps us organized and in-the-know on social media networking. She is a senior at the University of Vermont where she is majoring in Public Communications. The past two summers, Alex has held public relations internships at Kelliher Samets Volk and the Community Sailing Center in Burlington, Vermont where she leveraged Facebook and Twitter to build exposure of client events, created press lists using Cision Media, researched speaking venues and events and communicated with media outlets about client events and programs.
While attending Champlain Valley Union High School, she (with her family) hosted a family of Sudanese refugees, volunteered at the YMCA Youth Leadership program, worked with at-risk kids through the school’s “buddy” program and attended the National Student Leadership Conference at American University.
